Supporting Singapore’s energy needs
On 26 October 2020, Keppel O&M and the Energy Market Authority jointly awarded a research grant to pilot Singapore’s first floating Energy Storage System (ESS). It will be Singapore’s largest ESS deployment to date, with sufficient capacity to power more than 600 4-room HDB flats a day.

Promoting a circular economy
According to a study conducted by Environmental Resources Management, Keppel O&M's conversion of an LNG carrier into a Floating Liquefaction Vessel (FLNG) using a design and execution model jointly engineered by Keppel O&M and Golar, is estimated to save approximately 33% of greenhouse gas emissions compared to an FLNG new build.

Advancing LNG infrastructure for a greener maritime sector
Gas is a key transitional fuel in the energy mix and Keppel O&M is driving the expansion of the LNG bunkering infrastructure in Singapore through FueLNG, its joint venture with Shell Eastern Petroleum.

First LNG carrier delivery
Keppel O&M on 14 October 2020 successfully delivered its first newbuild LNG carrier, Avenir Advantage to Avenir LNG. The LNG carrier also functions as an LNG bunkering vessel (LBV), making it the first in South East Asia to do so.

Developing talents
In recognition of Keppel O&M's efforts in nurturing its workforce, the company was presented the Talent Development Award at the 13th Seatrade Maritime Asia Awards on 23 June 2020.
